Short answer: if you want a proper sit-down brunch in southern Seoul, Sentimet (센티맷) near Maebong Station is the one I’d send you to. I’ve eaten there myself. Every brunch plate is ₩18,000 (about US$13), it opens at 8 a.m. on weekends, and you can book a table on Naver.
Most of the restaurants on this blog are local picks I found through Naver Map reviews. This one is different: I went, I ordered, and the photos below are mine. It sits on a quiet street in Dogok-dong, a few minutes from the Yangjaecheon Stream walking path, so it’s an easy add-on if you’re staying in Gangnam or heading to the stream for a walk.
Last checked: 2026-11-01. Prices and hours are from Sentimet’s Naver Map page. Menus change, so check the Naver Map link before you go. US dollar amounts use Naver’s base exchange rate on 2026-11-01 (₩1,335.80 = US$1), rounded.

Why I recommend it for brunch
Sentimet is a brunch place first. The menu is short and every dish on the “all day brunch” list costs the same ₩18,000, so ordering is easy even if you can’t read the Korean side of the menu. The English names are printed on the menu board.
The coffee list reads like a Melbourne café: short black, long black, flat white, piccolo, babyccino for kids, Melbourne Breakfast tea and Bundaberg ginger beer in the fridge. If you’ve been missing a flat white since you landed, this is a good place to fix that.
We ordered two plates. The brioche French toast (top photo) comes stacked with bacon, berries, banana, grapes, granola and pumpkin seeds, so it’s sweet and salty at once and big enough to share. The salmon eggs Benedict (below) is two poached eggs with hollandaise on toast, with smoked salmon, sliced avocado, radish and capers on the side.

Jimmy’s note
I went for brunch and I’d recommend it for exactly that. If you’re driving, weekends are easier: you can park at the public lot right in front of the café.

Getting there
Take Line 3 to Maebong Station and leave by Exit 4. Walk toward Daechi Middle School; Sentimet is on the ground floor right in front of the Dogok 2-dong Community Service Center, about 370 meters from the exit. Naver lists the address as 34-10 Nambusunhwan-ro 378-gil, Gangnam-gu (서울 강남구 남부순환로378길 34-10, 1층).
Type 센티맷 into Naver Map and it comes up straight away. Google Maps directions in Korea are patchy, which is why I use Naver for everything on this site. My Korea travel checklist explains how to set it up in English.
Hours, booking and parking
- Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00; Saturday and Sunday 08:00 to 19:00. Naver doesn’t list a last order time or regular closing day.
- Booking: reservations go through Naver booking for groups of 1 to 4. Sentimet also lists a CatchTable page. Weekend brunch is the busy slot, so book ahead if you can.
- Parking: there’s no parking at the café itself. On weekends you can park free at the Dogok 2-dong Community Service Center and the street-side public lot in front. On weekdays, Sentimet asks guests to use nearby paid lots such as Maebong Parking.
- Seating: regular tables, a terrace and single seats. Wi-Fi is available.
Walk it off at Yangjaecheon Stream
Sentimet is close to the Yangjaecheon café street, and the stream’s walking and cycling path runs a few blocks away. After brunch, a stroll along the water is the obvious next move, especially in autumn when the trees along the bank change color.

FAQ
Is Sentimet worth the trip if I’m staying in central Seoul?
Line 3 runs straight there from Chungmuro, next to Myeongdong, with no transfer. It’s still a fair ride, so I’d pair it with something else in the south, like a walk along Yangjaecheon or an afternoon in Gangnam. If you’re already staying in Gangnam, it’s an easy morning.
Do they have an English menu?
The menu board lists dishes and drinks in English, with Korean names next to the brunch dishes.
Is it good for kids?
There’s a babyccino on the menu, which is usually a sign kids are welcome. Weekend mornings will be busier.
Can I just walk in?
You can try, but brunch is the busy time, especially on weekends. A Naver booking takes a minute and saves the wait.
Do they serve alcohol?
Yes. Wine by the glass is ₩13,000, bottled beer is ₩10,000, and there’s a wine list if you ask the staff.
